NCBA&E Alhamra University, in collaboration with the Young Pakistanis Organization (YPO) and Global Vision for Inclusive Progress (GVIP), organized an important panel discussion titled “Pakistan Pre-Budget Talk 2026–27” at its Multan Campus. The event brought together educationists, economists, social leaders, students, and members of civil society to discuss key priorities for the upcoming federal budget and promote informed public discourse on economic policy.
The session was hosted by Mr. Naeem Iqbal Naeem, President of the Young Pakistanis Organization, who emphasized the importance of incorporating public perspectives and expert recommendations into the budget-making process. He highlighted the need for constructive dialogue between policymakers, academics, and stakeholders to ensure that national economic policies effectively address public needs and aspirations.
The distinguished panel included Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asim Rajwana, Pro-Rector NCBA&E Alhamra University Multan; Prof. Dr. Hamid Raza Siddiqui, former Director Colleges Multan; Prof. Osama Bashir Qureshi, Regional Director Punjab Group of Colleges Multan Region; Prof. Muhammad Zubair Saeed, Department of Economics, NCBA&E Alhamra University Multan; Mr. Muhammad Ahsan Bhatta, PhD Scholar (Economics) at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Visiting Lecturer at Bahauddin Zakariya University; Prof. Dr. Riaz Hussain, educationist and social activist; and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Anees Ansari.
During the discussion, the panelists stressed the importance of controlling inflation, creating employment opportunities, and increasing budgetary allocations for education and healthcare. They emphasized the need to invest in youth development through technical training, digital skills, information technology, and freelancing opportunities to prepare young people for emerging economic challenges and opportunities.
The speakers also highlighted the importance of expanding the tax net while avoiding additional financial burdens on salaried individuals and ordinary citizens. Furthermore, recommendations were presented regarding the development of South Punjab, revitalization of the agricultural sector, promotion of business activities, and the creation of entrepreneurial opportunities for youth.
The panel unanimously agreed that a balanced, inclusive, and people-friendly budget is essential for achieving sustainable economic growth and long-term national stability. Participants noted that investment in education, innovation, and human capital development remains critical for Pakistan’s future prosperity.
In recognition of their valuable contributions to education and youth development, appreciation awards were presented to distinguished guests and participants with the support of DSG Energy (Private) Limited Pakistan and Fourteen Street Pizza Multan. The ceremony acknowledged the efforts of educators, researchers, social leaders, and community contributors who continue to play an important role in promoting intellectual growth and educational advancement.

Participants expressed the view that such discussions play a vital role in enhancing economic awareness, fostering civic engagement, and highlighting public concerns that contribute to informed policymaking and national development.
