NCBA&E (Alhamra University) Multan Sub-Campus successfully hosted its 3rd Faculty Development Program, reaffirming its commitment to enhancing academic quality and institutional excellence. The program was organized under the directives of NCBA&E Alhamra University Lahore and the Higher Education Commission’s National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE).

Expanding its outreach, the session was not limited to NCBA&E campuses in Multan, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan, but also welcomed Vice Chancellors, Directors, and Deputy Directors of Quality Enhancement Cells from universities across South Punjab. This inclusive approach created a dynamic platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing among academic leaders.

The theme of the session, “Quality Assurance in Pakistani Universities: Aligning with PSG-2023 and Global Standards,” addressed one of the most critical aspects of higher education today. The keynote speaker, Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmad Buzdar, Vice Chancellor of Thal University Bhakkar and HEC-NAHE Master Trainer, delivered a comprehensive and forward-looking presentation. He highlighted the evolving role of higher education, global academic trends, and the key factors influencing international university rankings. He emphasized the importance of aligning institutional practices with PSG-2023 and global standards to strengthen both research output and academic quality.

The program also featured valuable contributions from distinguished academic leaders. Prof. Dr. Farooq, Director Quality at Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), discussed the vital connection between academia and industry in achieving sustainable development. Prof. Dr. Kalsoom Paracha from The Women University Multan underscored the responsibility of each academic department in ensuring compliance with HEC quality standards. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Mazhar, Vice Chancellor of UVAS Bahawalpur, shared his insights on strengthening institutional frameworks and quality assurance mechanisms.

The event witnessed participation from representatives of leading institutions, including Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & IT (KFUEIT), Emerson University, NFC Institute of Engineering & Technology, MNS University of Engineering & Technology, MNS University of Agriculture Multan, NUML, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), Air University, Khanewal University College, and several other universities across the region.

In his closing remarks, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asim Rajwana, Pro-Rector of NCBA&E Alhamra University Multan Sub-Campus, extended his heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished speakers and participants. He also acknowledged the visionary leadership of Mian Muhammad Jahangir, Director NCBA&E, for his continuous efforts in promoting quality education and faculty development initiatives.
